OIPE or Ottawa International Projects and Exchanges promotes personal development through cross-cultural education. Our courses for Canadian and overseas students and teachers are creating a virtual network of learning around the world. We invite international students to join our summer ESL (English as a second language) programs and English immersion programs during the school year. All courses are supported by the excellent educational resources of the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board (OCDSB) and its schools.
OIPE’s teacher-training programs are equally well attended. We offer specially designed courses for international teachers in English as a Foreign Language (EFL). We also offer administration and leadership programs for principals and leaders. OIPE programs are usually one to two months; the content draws on the resources of Ottawa’s leading educators but each program is adapted to your group’s particular needs.
OIPE also welcomes international delegations on fact-finding or exchange missions for short visits (half day or longer).
