The Ottawa-Carleton Education Network is affiliated with the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board (OCDSB) and represents it internationally. The OCDSB is located in Canada’s capital city, Ottawa, and is part of the Government of Ontario’s public school system. There are 70,000 students and 150 schools in the OCDSB system. The school board serves families in all of Ottawa – a city that is 2,760 square kilometres in area.
The school board welcomes students of all religions and cultures. We have a vibrant, enthusiastic learning community that is representative of Ottawa’s increasingly rich ethnocultural diversity. Our students can study in either English or French. New students to Canada can select English as a Second Language (ESL) courses and International Language credit courses at the secondary level. ESL programming is also available at many elementary schools.
