The cost of living in Vietnam varies significantly, depending on where you live. The cities tend to have a higher cost of living compared with rural areas.

The costs below are a rough estimate if you chose to live in Ho Chi Minh City or Hanoi.
A one room studio, probably in a guesthouse or someplace similar, can be had for around 400 US Dollars per month and would include airconditioning, a hot shower, cable TV and WiFi Internet.
